UNIMOG vs Y62 vs 79 SERIES - What gets stuck first??
Love it mate. I have a G60 Tray.
If they provided a bare basic ladder, the first numpty to fall off it half cut after a night sitting by the camp fire drinking rum would sue for a fortune, and they'd be out of business next week. It's all about teh safety. Plus...yeah. If you are getting on and have old knee or back injuries it's heaps easier to have handles. I'm 60, and I wouldn't own a caravan if you gave me one for free. We play a game on the road where we spot a caravan name and put "Anal" in front of it. Great laughs. Anal Explorer...Anal Wanderer...you get the idea, now go have some laughs.
top quality workmanship. Kudos to you. Love a G60
The first thing I see wrong here is; the way the Anderson plug is mounted. It should be flushed with base. Second issue: the plastic shell will crack overtime. Or get scratched really easily. And lastly: to open to tent does take ages. And for the money ARB want for this tent. There are way better setups out there. Alu-Cab The Bush Company And the one that’s on my list to purchase next is: Boss Aluminium
coming alone nicely can't wait to see the end product.
Convenience will cost you $7.2k apparently😅
Good job mate! Looking great
Love this build. Makes my 1970 Datsun restore look easy. I am using 90s brakes and steering and front suspension. Similar concept to yours. Keep up the work!!!
Great to see the progress thanks
Bush company AX27
I haven’t looked before writing this, but what will the towing capacity be of the Toyota Tacomas? If that’s what the new Hilux might be based on.
Good to see you back, I admire your dedication and commitment, I do enjoy your work, hell I could not do anywhere near what you have . Stay strong and true 👍
What about some of the cheaper ones like motop?
I’m loving this shit mate! Even the stuff you’re finding boring and repetitive. Can’t wait to see it together!
Good decision, stop filming and get the ball rolling. There's still a lot for us to watch. Looking forward to it, cheers
I am still very interested and impressed with your skills mate, I understand time constraints with life and shit, and am patient, so happy to wait! Cheers
Not sure it this comment will come too late but there may be some joints where you’re thinking spot welds that may actually lend themselves quite well to panel bond. I’ve used it in a number of places on a VW bus I’m restoring. What I like about this option is the adhesive can be spread along the entire joint which effectively acts like a seal as well as the physical connection.
You need a break from things to clear the head. Great long-term project. We can all see how much progress there has been. Stick with it.
Interesting to see the progress being made.
Glad you’re not giving up, you have been doing a cracking job and I really enjoy these build videos.
Best channel on the tube. Welcome back
How about a bundu top RTT, I had a bush Co before, but looking at something automatic
Would love too see you review the Feldon Shelter Crows Nest please 🙏
Just curious; all that aluminium is very nice looking and looks very though; but I wonder how it behaves in the long term dealing with vibrations and metal fatigue? or is that something not to worry about?
Do the drifta desert cruiser 1.2 tent by wildlands.
Try and get something more affordable, kings and drifta for the example.
Enjoying these reviews 👍 For reasons unknown, there is a consistent theme here; the length. I’m 190cm + and most length opening RTT’s are too short ARB will have done their research. They clearly think there is a market for this unit despite its weight and price. Cheers Cheers
Shrink wrap fixes zipper tinkering.
Let’s see the kings grand tourer.
Did you pay for it ? Or Another sponsored plug
the guys mentioned this was a demo unit and all they are doing is asking manufacturers would they provide a unit for review.
@@4bnewb969 so it’s a biased review
I would love to see a comparison with the Bush Company AX27
ARB is gear middle aged blokes with convertible Mustangs buy.
$7300 this time. Seems like ur only reviewing the most expensive tents on the market. Ironically, the people that can afford that end of the market are more use to five star hotels than shitting in a hole.
The biggest downside is going to be the weight of 100kg. Plus, roof rack and solar panels. There is a lot to carry up on top of a vehicle. Price around $7500 depending on location. Thanks for the reviews on this.
have a look at the alu-cab lt-50 is an alloy clam shell at 50kg with no slats is like living in a cave compared to this arb tent although it did stand up to over 100kmh winds on my last trip
Another one for Bundatec. I chose this one because all 4 window’s are also door. Due to the built in awning you can have the windows open in the rain for airflow.
See if you can get a Bundatec Bundatop. Also electric, but I reckon that would be an interesting comparison (and better mattress).
Fancy bit of kit. Maybe some silicon spray on the zippers
23zero dakota 1400 would be nice
Or 1600
Hi guys I watched your vid on the new 2024 silverado .just thought I might let you in on something. You said you would put shocks on it ,in gmsv eyes that would be a modification and no warranty for the hole vehicle. I found this out on my 2023 as I fitted a bull bar, suspension, wheels UHF. Now they keep denying warranty. My accessories have nothing to do with the warranty issues .because of all my problems gmsv said I deserve a buy back .as soon as I mentioned accessories the buy back was cancelled. Even down to the dent in the roof damaged on delivery and noticed on pick up .apparently this is also my fault as I have fitted accessories .other buyers should be aware of this as most buyers would fit accessories. what really rubs salt in to injury is they sponsor a fully modified truck for Aussie destinations unkown .cheers Rob
What about you try and get the same type of tent but the latest by Kings to compare price and quality?
Leave no trace hey?
Thanks excellent tutorial.....Greetings from Colombia....
Alu cab lt50 small compact hardshell tent with a really low profile tent! Would be great to see a review of it.
4x4 network deluxe tent. They are fairly new to the market. I’m waiting for mine atm
Please do the Darche highland 1300!!!
$7500 is lots!
More than my 4x4!
This isn't $7500, apologies if that figure was used.
$6,600 on website, free delivery lol
OCAM have a similar style tent to the ikamper but at a much more reasonable price. I would like to see how it compares.
I'd like to see how they compare to the kings alloy hardshell for shits and gigs, if anything it'd bring more people to the video. Motop as a budget contender with its insulation layer in there new gens.
iKamper is a well made tent. Top notch quality. But my reasoning is that it is just too expensive for what it offers. Its a fabric tent with loads of things for the wind to make noise on. It doesnt look like you can store 2 big sleeping bags and pillows in the tent while its folded up and you have to air down the mattress. It takes a while to set up and pack down. Its a hardshell tent with the downsides of a softshell. Test Alu Cab 3R.
